Chance Pe Dance Hindi Movie Review And Watch Online

There are three moments in Chance Pe Dance that I can't get out of my head. The first involves a small kid, digging his nose furiously, followed by a tight close-up of his booger. The second is that of a Parsi gentleman in a sudreh, scratching his hairy chest and armpits incessantly. The third is a scene in which Shahid Kapoor scrapes his nails against a blackboard, the shrill sound of which is deafening.

Evidently each of these scenes is intended to make you turn away, to be repulsed even. The thing is, director Ken Ghosh needn't have tried so hard. Chance Pe Dance is an annoying, exhausting film that entirely fails to entertain. ((pause)) Shahid Kapoor stars as Sameer Behl, a struggling actor chasing the Bollywood dream. He faces rejection every day, until finally his killer dance moves get a prominent film director to notice him and subsequently sign him up as the lead in his next film. Not much later, he is dropped from the film.

Sameer has no money for rent and finds himself living out of his car. He has no money for meals, and must take up a dance-teacher's job at a school. It doesn't take a genius to predict that he will lead his oddball students to victory in an inter-school dance championship, and depite all odds, he will become a movie-star after all.

Chance Pe Dance doesn't work because you feel no empathy for its protagonist. The film's writers -- if you can call them that, considering there is no script to speak of -- fail to invest even a hint of vulnerability in Sameer. Moreso, Shahid Kapoor's surface-level performance doesn't help convey the desperation his character's supposedly feeling.

The obligatory romantic track between Sameer and an upcoming choreographer (played by Genelia D'souza) is so random, it adds no dimension to the central plot. This is a film without any character arcs, or plot progression. To be honest, Chance Pe Dance is a film that probably started shooting before a script was ever written; a one-line idea that never developed into a complete story.

The dance portions here are impressively performed by Shahid Kapoor, but you could interchange each of the sequences and it would make no difference to the final film. Much of the blame for that must by shared by composer Adnan Sami who delivers an uninspired soundtrack of indifferent tunes.

Chance Pe Dance is only a little over two hours in running time, but feels much longer because the screenplay limps lethargically in no particular direction.

Of the cast, Genelia D'souza saddled with a half-baked role and left pretty much to her own devices, screeches through her scenes and strums up none of that buoyant energy one has come to expect from her. Shahid Kapoor for his part, makes too many faces throughout the film, and lets his chiselled abs and his nimble feet do the talking. Unfortunately, that's not enough.

I'm going with one out of five and a thumbs down for director Ken Ghosh's Chance Pe Dance; he borrows liberally from such Hollywood films as School of Rock and the Jessica Alba-starrer Honey. But with it's theme of a struggling actor's ultimate vindication, in the end I suppose Chance Pe Dance could be described as "Luck By Chance-For-Dummies". Although it would be a crime to mention the two films in the same breath!

Odipolama Tamil Movie Review And Watch Online

A routine tale, the story begins with Visu (parimal) who is studying computer science and though many think he is a nerd, it is not so as he keeps hanging out with his friends (suman Shetty and gang). Visu takes life as it comes and believes in living happily but his life takes a turn when he sees Anjali (sandhya). It is love at first sight for him and since then, he does whatever he can to woo her. The story takes a turn when Anjali elopes from her home and lands up in the same bus that Visu is travelling giving a picture that both of them have eloped. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

The film runs on a routine mode so there is actually nothing new for the audience to be excited about. While the first half goes about with the regular elements of comedy and wooing the heroine, the second half gets serious and also provides few twists and turns. The climax was not upto the mark. The idea is good but the makers should have focused more on the script and given it depth. This is ideally a youth entertainer but may not be that effective due to the weak aspects. The film might not shine as expected.

Genesh Telugu Movie Review And Watch Online

Ganesh () is an energetic young man working in hi-tech environment. He is decent and courageous and believes in helping people who are in need. His friend has a problem of getting married to his niece Divya (Kajal) as he is in love with another girl.

Ganesh plans to help his friend by making Divya fall in love with him making it easy for his friend to marry his lover. So he shifts his residence to his friend’s colony. Lots of kids in the apartments play pranks on all others and there is a goon Mahadev (Ashish Vidyarthi) to contend with.

Ganesh manages to make Vidya fall in love with him but she comes to know that it is just a façade of put-up play. The rest of the story deals with how he proves that his love for Divya is genuine.

The theme and plot are not new but the treatment of the film suffers from a lack of depth. The meandering screenplay does not help in smooth transition of scenes. The kids-act appears to be over done. Music is just about average. Camera work and editing are good. Some more care could have been taken for sound design. Production values are good.

Ganesh…Just Ganesh is just another mass masala film with emphasis on songs and fights while weaving the thread of narration on a thin fabric of stale plot which is easily predictable.

Pyaar Impossible Hindi Movie Review And Watch Online

At one point in Pyaar Impossible, Alisha, a hottie played by Priyanka Chopra asks major geek Abhay, played by Uday Chopra, "Tumhe lagta hai ki log ek doosre ko sirf khoobsurti ki wajah se chahte hain?" That's really shallow.

She could have been talking about the film. Pyaar Impossible is one of those superbly shallow films that manages to offend you on every level - as a viewer, as a woman, as a mother. This Notting Hill-style rom-com is singularly charmless and absolutely impossible.

Pyaar Impossible is a vehicle for Uday Chopra who has also written and produced the film. Uday has cast himself as a lovable geek who recognises his limitations.

In one scene he even says, "Main koi prince charming toh nahin hun." Which is why the college queen Alisha is barely aware of his existence. He saves her life but she doesn't know what he looks like.

They meet seven years later in Singapore. She is now a divorced working mother - a fact she repeats again and again. And her six-year-old daughter Tanya is the most demonic child seen on screen since Damien terrorised us in The Omen.

Somehow, Abhay ends up as Tanya's nanny. In one of the script's many absurd moments, Alisha leaves her daughter with a male nanny whom she has never met.

Before you know it, Tanya is trying to set up her nanny with her mom. She has a sleep over at a friends house so mom and nanny can bond. The next day she even asks Abhay, "Give me the goss."

If this was my daughter, I would donate her to charity. Together Tanya and nanny also foil the rival, Varun, played by Dino Morea, who incidentally has also stolen's Abhay's revolutionary new software program.

If the plot description sounds convoluted, imagine what the film is like.

Director Jugal Hansraj stretches out this limp tale over two and a half hours. The film's message is just as garbled as the plot.

In one scene, Abhay demonstrates to Alisha that ugly people can't find love. So, he makes her unattractive and takes her to several bars. And she is so shocked to find that the boys aren't interested in her ugly avtaar that she starts to weep.

For most of the film though, Priyanka looks like a million bucks - it seems like Jugal and Uday have spent more time on her styling than the script. But for reasons unknown, she acts like a hyper teenager.

Uday plays the nerd with absolute sincerity but it's hard to summon up any affectionfor him. And Dino seems to have decided that expression is a waste of time. His face just stays blank.

Pyaar Impossible is depressingly dim-witted.

Bolo Raam Hind Movie Review And Watch Online

Ramboesque Ram loves his mother, Padmini Kolhapure and is content living happily ever after with her. But one night, he's found lying beside her stabbed body, knife in hand. Did Ram kill his mother? He's not telling....

First things first. What's Naseeruddin Shah doing in Bolo Ram. He has such a dispensable role as a two-scene psychiatrist, it's almost a shame. Then again, what's Om Puri doing in Bolo Ram? He has such a poorly-etched routine cop act, he could almost sleepwalk through it. Also, doesn't Padmini Kolhapure deserve a better comeback film than one which relegates her to the status of a corpse after a one-dimensional screaming mom act? After all, she was one of our better actors in her heydey.
The trouble with Bolo Ram is it boasts of a great cast, then botches it up by focusing too much on a wooden Rishi Bhutani who can barely bring to life the character of the enigmatic, unpredictable son who might have killed his mother in a fit of rage. Ram (Rishi) is essentially supposed to be an overgrown babe who lives on the fringes of sane society. It would take very little for him to cross the fine line, but the actor fails to bring out this edgy feel. After a point, you simply get tired with his singular mournful look and lose all interest in what is supposed to be the million dollar query: did he do it or not?
Also, what's the jihadi angle doing in this film. It springs up from nowhere and completely convolutes the film with the subversive use of religious symbolism. Doesn't work.

Gentel Man Telugu Movie Reviews And Watch Online

Posani Krishna Murali has been one of the very few directors in Telugu Film Industry who have never shied away from any controversies. It is this brazen attitude which has led him to make films like ‘Operation Dhuryodhan’ and most recently ‘Mental Krishna’, ‘Raja Vari Chepala Cheruvu’. His latest film ‘Gentleman’ is yet another bold film which has an important message for the society. Posani Krishna Murali, Aarthi Agarwal and Louis play the lead roles in this film. Nallam Padmaja produced the film on the ‘Veerabhadhra Productions’ banner. The film is about a married couple and how their relationship changes over a period of time.

Posani Krishna Murali stars as Muddu Krishna, who works in a software firm. He’s married to Neeraja (Aarthi Agarwal) who believes that her husband is extremely loyal to her and would even die for her sake. However, MudduKrishna has a different side to his personality. He’s a womanizer who indulges in multiple extra-marital affairs for pleasure. One of them is Louis, a girl from UK working in the same software firm. One day, Neeraja decides to test her husband’s loyalty towards her and hatches a plan with the help of a friend. Will she succeed in her plan? Will MudduKrishna’s skeletons tumble out of the box? That forms the rest of the story

Posani Krishna Murali’s unconventional stories, peculiar characterisation and slap-on-the-face kind of dialogues make it difficult to watch hisfilms like any other film. He sets his own rules and in that sense, Posani definitely excels in everything he does. Within ten minutes intothe film, the ‘Posanian’ school of thought raises its flag and it doesn’t matter if the society agrees of not, Posani would do what he believes in. Hence, don’t be surprised if you find him boozing on the road while he lets his wife have her share of privacy with her boyfriend. Don’t be surprised if you see that:

1) Posani drinks acid like it’s a cool drink and doesn’t get hospitalised.
2) Posani drinks ‘Baygon Spray’ and get well within 30 minutes.
3) Posani donates his liver to his own wife.
4) Posani argues that it’s okay to manipulate woman irrespective of their marital status.
5) Posani’s “Coffee-Love” hypothesis to test his wife’s love quotient for him
6) Posani can make any girl fall in love with him. ANY GIRL!
7) Posani’s version of ‘7 stages of a project’ with a girl enticing boy twist!
8) Posani can rap and play saxophone!
9) Posani can hack passwords and make Login.js file disappear.
10) Posani can handle multiple ‘encounters’ with women on the same day.

Sherlock Holmes English Movie Review And Watch Online

When it was announced that Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels director Guy Ritchie was going to be directing a new take on the classic detective character of Sherlock Holmes, it didn't exactly strike me as a perfect match. The hyper-stylish visuals, convoluted plots, and quick witted, often swear-filled dialogue found in Ritchie's movies isn't what Sherlock Holmes has been all about. So needless to say I was dubious about the project.

But then came the news that Robert Downey Jr. had signed on to play Holmes, and my anticipation and trust in the project suddenly heightened. So how has it turned out? Well, it's not exactly perfect (far from it, actually), but thanks to the trademark charisma of Downey Jr., the competent support from Jude Law as Holmes's faithful assistant, Dr. Watson, and Mark Strong as an adequately intimidating villain, Ritchie's take on Sherlock Holmes is fun, feeling simultaneously fresh yet respecting the source character entirely.

It's just a shame, then, that there's more problems with it than one would like, resulting in an enjoyable, almost throwaway film instead of one that makes a long-term impression and solidifies itself as one of the takes on the character.

The plot of what is sure to be the first of a new series of Holmes tales sees Mark Strong as villain Lord Blackwood, a power-hungry man sentenced to death near the beginning of the story. On the case of catching him is Sherlock Holmes and his assistant, Dr. Watson, who are surprised to find that he has risen from the dead after being hung. So the game is afoot as Holmes and Watson set out to find out how this is possible and what Blackwood is now up to, all the while having to deal with the law, as well as Irene Adler, a mischievous figure from Holmes's past.

World Cup 2011 Hind Movie Review And Watch Online

The movie title may lure you to expect something of ‘Chak De’ or ‘Lagaan’ but you may end up feeling cheated once you are through the movie. Though Ravi Kapoor intends to bring out a new dimension to the commonplace theme of sports, yet he misses out the proper execution which leads to the lack of apt representation of the theme.
The movie introduces Ravi Kapoor as Ravi Indulkar, the Indian cricket team captain. Ravi Kapoor is portrayed in the role of a dynamic batsman who at the later stage gets slipped off the moral track. The glittering world of bribe takes over the best part of Ravi and his four team mates – Rajpal, Irfan, Balwinder and Hiten. Shobhan (Zakhir Hussai) lures these batsmen to lose the forthcoming match which they faithfully do. However, the days of glory do not last for long for the bribed batsmen who are eventually exposed by a journalist. And then what follows is very much predictable!
They are dismissed off the team and are forbidden to play any more matches in the future. Then comes the expected series of sorrows for the protagonist Ravi whose father passes away in this time. He is dumped by his girlfriend Soha (Manisha) and there falls our hero into a pool of distress. Despite seeing these misfortunes, you will not feel even once the pain as they all seem so artificial and unreal.
The movie then turns to the climax which has been forcibly drawn to make believe the audience about the protagonist’s positive side. Ravi realizes his mistakes and repents. It is now that Indian team’s cricketing coach (Suresh Oberoi) gives him and the other teammates a chance to play a match. The match happens to be not any ordinary one. Instead it is the match played between India and Pakistan. You are surely at the right guess of what happens in the end!
The movie revolves around a weak plot which has been treated several times previously in the Bollywood. Debutant director, Ravi Kapoor despite his sincere effort fails to create any impression on the audience with his loosely connected plot. He tries to mingle in two to three genres in the movie which eventually leaves the movie with no genre at all. At one point you may feel that it is like ‘Chak de’ and at another it tends to be like ‘Jannat’. Even you may feel like getting into the territory of Ramgopal Varma’s underworld world at some places in the movie.
Ravi Kapoor has talents and can do better with well-designed plots. Manisha is just average and do not really leave any impression on the audience. Zakir Hussain and Suresh Oberoi have done a fair job. Even Saba Karim and Nikhil Chopra are good in their role of cricket commentators. Aadesh Srivastav’s music does not spread that magic which his music usually does. ‘World Cup 2011’ though is made with good intent, ultimately fails to convey anything aptly to the watching audience.
